Privacy Policy

HoopBreaker (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Linebreaker. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. To use the app you sign in with Google or Apple. We receive your name, email address and a unique user ID from the sign-in provider. The sign-in record is managed by Firebase Authentication (Google), and we keep a profile on our servers with your user ID, name, email address and subscription access status.

Subscription and purchase information. Payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never see your card details. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receives purchase information linked to your user ID so we can tell whether your subscription is active.

Information stored on your device. Your theme, language, your last five searches (player or team name and picture) and cached images are stored on your device. We do not receive these. Your sign-in session is also kept on your device by Firebase Authentication. You can clear recent searches and the cache in the app’s Settings.

Player, team and match data. The player, team, match and standings screens show NBA sports data (statistics, schedules, results and predictions), which is not personal information about you. To load it, the app sends requests to our servers. When you search, the text you type is sent to our servers. For the match feed the app also sends your device’s time zone (for example “Europe/Istanbul”). Because you must be signed in, these requests include your sign-in token, so they can be associated with your account. The app has no favorites feature.

Technical logs. Our backend does not keep a per-request access log, and your search text is not logged or stored on our servers. Our server logs mainly record operational messages and errors (with time and, where available, the IP address of the request). When an account is deleted, the log records your sign-in user ID. Our infrastructure providers (Cloudflare and Railway, see below) also keep their own technical logs, which may include your IP address.

Subscription records. We store your subscription status (product, transaction ID, status and start, expiry and cancellation dates) linked to your account, and a record of subscription notifications from RevenueCat (event ID, type and time) that is not linked to you.

Analytics. The app uses Firebase Analytics (Google). It records basic usage events such as screen views, sign-in (Google or Apple) and sign-up events, and when the subscription screen is shown. Firebase Analytics may also collect device and app identifiers, including the Android advertising ID where available. The app does not show ads and does not contain advertising SDKs, and we do not use this data for advertising. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy before it takes effect.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To provide the app’s features and to give you access to the plan you subscribed to.
  • To operate, secure and fix the service.
  • To respond to your questions and requests.

We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it.

3. Who We Share It With

We share information only with service providers that help us run the app, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Google (Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics and Google sign-in).
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store).
  • Google Play and the Apple App Store (payments and subscriptions).
  • RevenueCat (subscription management).
  • Railway (hosting of our backend and database).
  • Cloudflare (network proxy and security in front of our servers).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Storage, Security and Retention

  • The app communicates with our servers over secure connections (HTTPS).
  • Account information is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete it as described in Delete your account.
  • Purchase records held by Google Play, Apple and RevenueCat follow their own retention rules.
  • Technical logs, and database backups kept by our providers, follow our providers’ retention rules and are kept only as long as needed for operation and security. They are not removed when you delete your account.
  • Our providers may process data in countries other than yours.
  • Uninstalling the app removes the local data stored on your device, including cached images.
  • The app asks only for network access. It does not request your location, camera, microphone, contacts or notifications.

5. Your Choices and Rights

  • Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings → Delete my account, or follow the steps on the Delete your account page.
  • Access or correct your information: contact us and we will help.
  • Reset settings and clear caches: use “Reset Settings” and “Clear cache” in the app’s Settings.
  • Cancel a subscription: manage it in your Google Play or Apple subscription settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, or to object to its use. To exercise them, contact us using the details below.

6. Age and Content

The app is intended for users 18 years of age or older and is not directed to children. It provides NBA statistics and model-generated predictions, including betting-themed information such as over/under lines. The app is for entertainment and information only. You cannot place bets or gamble through the app, and it does not offer or facilitate real-money betting. Predictions are not guarantees.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Changes take effect when the page is published.
